Home again, home again...

Yesterday was the big day that the older girls have been waiting for- the day mommy and Lilly came home. It was a pretty seamless process (which was not the case with the other two), so were were quite pleased!

 

 

All morning they worked on getting everything just right, and Josh and I were warned to make sure that we called before we drove into the driveway...hmmm...
This is what we saw when we walked in the door-haha!!

 

They were SO excited, it was precious...

 

After being in the hospital since last Tuesday Lillian and I are very glad to be home. It is indeed chaotic, but it is home...

We're Big Sisters Now!

Yes, it's true Annie and Elle are finally BOTH big sisters...Lillian Charlotte Shores arrived yesterday, December 17th at 12:25pm. She's healthy and already loves her pacifier- oh my...Here are a few shoots from her very first birthday!

Annie must have held her at least 10 separate times over the course of the 1.5 hours she was here visiting. Obsessed might be the best word to describe her at this point...

 

Elle got her time with Lillian, too, although you could tell she was quite nervous!

As much as we all have been anticipating baby #3's arrival- she's decided it's just not time yet! So, it's looking like Thursday will be her big debut. Elle was breech and therefore delivered via c-section, so we've got a date with the OB at 12pm Thursday...we'll keep you posted if anything happens between now and then, thanks for checking in!

 

Mommy and Me Date #2

Annie VERY patiently waited for her turn to go on a mommy and me date(see previous entry), so on Thursday afternoon she and I went to lunch (ChickFilA of course), then to my doctor's appt where she got to hear her sister's heartbeat...
to Starbucks for a quick treat...

 

and then on to Paint a Piece where she, too, got to create her own masterpiece!

 

As did I, complete with her handprint!

 

She's very into photography these days :), not bad...

 

Mommy and Me Date #1

While my mother-in-law was here last week I got the chance to take each of the girls on a date before this baby comes! Elle's eatery of choice was, of course, the donut shop. She charmed everyone there, and even got a stuffed dog out of the whole thing from a very sweet elderly gentleman- haha!

 

 

Then it was on to Paint a Piece, where she had a blast designing her very own plate and putting her handprint on my coffee mug, so fun!

 

 

I LOVE this time of year....

Yes, I am one of those who you'll find chomping at the bit each year the day after Thanksgiving to get to the Christmas Tree farm/lot to pick out our tree and start this season. I, indeed, LOVE this time of year which represents the awesome gift of our Savior, and it's so fun to see my children begin to get it as well!

Happy Thanksgiving '09!

We had a crowd in for Thanksgiving, thankfully- and had a GREAT time!! Nana stayed an extra week to help with getting ready for baby- so we've been quite busy. But anytime she wants to come- we're ready!!

Here they are burning off a few calories before Thanksgiving Dinner...

 

 

Thanksgiving Dinner- yum, except sadly there was NO room in my stomach for much food as it's all taken up by the baby these days...so I've got a plate in the freezer that I'll hopefully be able to enjoy one of these days :)

 

The girls sat with us for the first part of the dinner, this is what they thought of all the "foreign" food...
